The Bella Coola Harbour Authority is a non-profit organization that manages the Small Craft Harbour in Bella Coola providing moorage to fishing, recreational and commercial vessels. Fuel, water, showers & laundry are available.
Commercial salmon fishing starts in early June and finishes at the end of August. Recreational fishing and boating usually starts on the May long weekend and finishes in October.
This harbour is home to approximately 40 commercial fishing vessels, approximately 30 Recreational boats and 10 Commercial vessels. These numbers are significantly higher during the summer months.
The Bella Coola Harbour is located at the end of Hwy 20. By sea, we’re located in North Bentinick Arm just beyond the mouth of the Bella Coola River 3km west of the townsite.
Open year round. The Harbour office is open from 8am to 6pm from June 1 – Sept 30. During the off season the office is open from 8am to noon Monday to Saturday. Please contact office staff for more information.
