Sleeping Quarters: The Chilcotin Lodge has ten nicely-decorated bedrooms, each with its own character. The rooms all have a wash-basin with hot and cold water. There are two rooms with twin beds, all other rooms have Queen-size beds. We have two shared bathrooms, one with a shower/bath and one with an antique tub.
Food:
The Historic Chilcotin Lodge is equipped with a fully-licensed, cosy dining room. For our house guests we serve a full country breakfast, at lunch time try our extensive Chilcotin lunch menu or we can provide you with a packed lunch. For dinner our chef will surprise you daily with gourmet delights, prepared with fresh ingredients.
Location:
Only a scenic 30-minute drive from Williams Lake, in the interior of British Columbia, you will find our uniquely-restored lodge, with its incomparable, homey atmosphere.
The Lodge is located at Riske Creek on the Chilcotin plateau, not far from the confluence of the Fraser and Chilcotin rivers, the Junction Sheep Range Park, which contains a large herd of California Bighorn Sheep and magnificent Farwell Canyon.
This is still very much the “Wild West” of Canada. It´s a land where cowboys still reign, branding calves in the spring, ranging cattle and rounding ´em up.
“Located in an age-old wilderness, where Native North Americans have long lived and the explorer Alexander Mackenzie once passed, there is a special place of comfort, elegance and closeness to the land.”
Open: May 1st – Dec.31st.
